Ava Grace Broussard
Painter, Visual Artist
Ava Broussard is an upcoming senior in visual arts - painting at UL. She has been doing art from a young age and started with oil paint in high school. She took oil lessons at the Framework Gallery with Jeromy Young to cultivate skills in portrait painting. This also taught her the methods of toning the canvas, underpainting, and how to layer glazes. Ava explores feminist theory, trauma cycles, and ways of depicting the figure for this to show through. She has had work displayed in the UL 2024 and 2025 Juried Exhibition, as well as the Archives Loudhouse Exhibition. She has also held multiple summer art camps for different age ranges focusing on mixed media work and more technical drawing lessons.
