Boris Fitzgerald is a self-taught painter and collage artist from Southeast Louisiana. His work is inspired by beautiful things like loud music, religion, and people—as well as ugly things like gas stations, trauma, and oppression. Boris’s current project, titled Home, is about transforming a house, a body, a life, from a prison that keeps you trapped into a home that keeps you safe. Home is divided into three sections: Fences, Windows, and Doors, which are tied together by Boris’s signature Bricks paintings.
