Origami Artist
Brent Walden is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in origami-based sculpture, jewelry, and miniature installations. Entirely self-taught, he developed his practice through years of hands-on experimentation with paper, wire, and resin. His work is rooted in precision and craftsmanship, with a focus on structural integrity and refined detail across a range of materials and formats. Brent is a member of the Louisiana Crafts Guild and regularly participates in regional art markets, including the Lafayette Farmers and Artisans Market, the Baton Rouge Arts Market, and the New Orleans Arts Market. Through these events, he has built a strong presence in the South Louisiana arts community and continues to develop a body of work that merges traditional handcraft with contemporary form.
