Lex R. Thomas is a non-binary figurative artist based in Lafayette, Louisiana. Lex primarily uses acrylic paint, inks, and immersive performance in their artistic practice.
Lex’s willingness to share personal vulnerabilities fosters a connection with the viewer, transcending physical distance to share common experiences through art.Their art has been featured in local and national Juried exhibitions, including The 61st Annual Juried Competition, Cur Non, and Eye of the Beholder, alongside solo exhibitions The Human Condition and Wildflowers. In 2023, they received the ArtSpark Individual Artist Grant.
Alongside Emma Sonnier, Lex co-founded ARCHIVES Exhibitions, an Acadiana-based artist collective, and participates in other local initiatives such as Bare Walls and Acadiana Culturalyst.
