Growing up in an art centric homeschool environment, Acadiana based woodworker and multi-media artist Robert 'Larue' Kennedy was encouraged to use art as a means of learning. Thus he was able to immerse himself in endless hours of creative play and wondrous miniature worlds of his own design. Those early experiences helped the self-taught artist discover his love of minute details and his appreciation for tactile feedback and authenticity of holding a well crafted work of art. His use of found objects and foraged materials stems from the challenge of taking discarded and found materials and transforming them in to something else entirely new.
