BOUNDARIES Opening Reception: A Night to Remember
It’s difficult to put into words the depth of our gratitude, awe, and love for the overwhelming support we received during the opening reception of BOUNDARIES at @thehallway625. What unfolded last night was more than just an exhibition—it was a celebration of creative spirit, collaboration, and community.
Working in the space was a true pleasure, made even more meaningful by the incredible help and camaraderie of the artists-in-residence who surrounded us. Huge thanks to Herb Roe, Brett Chigoy, Erin Bruce, Kathy Dumesnil, and Robert Dafford for their generosity—not just during the installation process, but in their presence, encouragement, and warm words throughout the evening.
To say we’re proud of our artists would be an understatement. Their work—and the vulnerability, effort, and vision behind it—anchored the event in something powerful. As the night unfolded, what began as a quiet trickle of guests at 5 PM blossomed into a buzzing, joy-filled evening. Conversations flowed, laughter echoed, and new friendships sparked—so much so that we kept the doors open 45 minutes past the usual ArtWalk hours.
We’re also grateful to those who helped shape the atmosphere of the night. Alyse Young, thank you for setting the tone with your beautiful sound. And Lindsay McAnally, your cake-cutting moment was the sweetest ending to a night we’ll never forget.
Last night reminded us why we do what we do: to build platforms for artists, to bring people together, and to celebrate the boundless possibilities of creative community.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you!
