Artists Need Community—And We’re Building It, Together

Now more than ever, artists need community. At ARCHIVES, we’re driven by a deep commitm ent to revitalizing the arts scene in Acadiana by creating meaningful opportunities for connection, visibility, and compensation for creatives, arts patrons, and community members alike.

This past event was a beautiful testament to that mission.

Our coordinators were genuinely overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and care from those who showed up. From the energy in the room to the powerful conversations and shared creativity, the evening reaffirmed what we believe at our core: we are all in this together.

At ARCHIVES, we prioritize our artists above all else—because they truly deserve the world. Artists are not only visionaries; they are truth-tellers and change-makers. They reflect the beauty and challenges of our society, compelling us to pause, reflect, and reimagine the world around us. Their creativity fosters empathy, provokes thought, and inspires action—and it’s our responsibility to champion and uplift them.

We are deeply thankful for everyone who joined us and made the night a success. To our incredible models @ruokayla and @dreamsislucid thank you for your preparation, presence, and performance. You exceeded every expectation.

We also extend heartfelt gratitude to AcA’s Creative Acadiana for hosting us and to @audreydemahy, AcA’s Community Engagement Coordinator, for your generous support in bringing this vision to life.

This is just the beginning. With each event, each gathering, and each shared moment of creativity, we are building something powerful—a thriving, supportive arts community in Acadiana that centers and celebrates its artists.

Stay connected. Stay inspired. We’ll see you at the next one.
